Drag[en]gine 1.32 Released

Drag[en]gine 1.32 Release

This release contains the following main additions besides other improvements and fixes:

  • Added audio capture support (user microphone) and audio analyzer support (synthesizer module). This enables real-time audio analysis including MFCC, mel energy and spectral peaks. Typically used for lip sync.
  • DragonScript: Added lip sync classes for real-time microphone-driven lip synchronization using audio capture and analysis.
  • WebM: Added support for Opus audio tracks.
  • OpenGL: Added transparent shadows using dithering. Allows single shadow texture mapping with transparency avoiding the need for multi-layer shadow casting.
  • Added EGL support for PC. Uses vendor neutral OpenGL (libOpenGL / libEGL) falling back to regular OpenGL (libGL) if not found.
  • Added Wayland support under Linux. Detects Wayland support automatically at runtime falling back to X11 if not found.
  • Added HDR monitor support. HDR monitor rendering is automatically enabled if HDR monitor support is found.
